FAQs

What is the couple counselling assessment for?

A psychologist may tell you that relationship dynamics are complex – there are many factors that can influence the quality of a relationship and identifying all of these are essential to plan for treatment. Some of them will be your strengths that make the relationship stronger and some are seen as the weaknesses that can show up and get in the way of the treatment processes. Identifying and understanding them early allow your psychologist to make plans with you to work on different challenges one by one, while utilising existing strengths during the treatment phase.

What are the rates for relationship counselling?

Relationship Counseling (couple or group): HKD 2100 per 50 minutes.

*Please note: For new couples, there will be an additional out-of-pocket fee of USD $39.00 per couple between the first and second sessions, as your psychologist will invite the couple to use the “Gottman Relationship Checkup,” (payment is processed directly at the Gottman website). The checkup contains questionnaires covering various relationship areas, which will be explored in the second session and used for treatment planning. A report will be generated by your treating psychologist and discussed with the couple during the feedback session.
